Julia Breanetta Simpson has appeared in theatres across the country, performing in Regional, Dinner, and Stock Theatres as well as Festivals in acclaimed productions including Memories of the Game, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Dreamgirls, For Colored Girls, One Mo’ Time, Purlie, Tintypes, and When The Nightingale Sings. Her work has also graced numerous Off-Broadway stages and cabaret venues throughout New York City. 

A dynamic performer and storyteller, Julia continues to share her artistry throughout the Tri-State area with her one-woman shows, cabarets, and concerts. 

Julia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. Deeply committed to service, she remains active in her church and community, reflecting her belief in the importance of giving back. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. 

Julia is the Founder, Artistic Director, and Producer of Breanetta Productions, where she continues to celebrate and preserve the rich legacy of African American music and culture through performance and education.
